Why We Chose Scottsdale for Our Next Launch
A franchise opportunity in Scottsdale is now a reality: DapperTails has officially landed in Arizona, and it’s more than just another pin on the map: it’s a strategic move that reflects where our brand is headed.
Scottsdale stood out for several reasons: a vibrant pet-loving community, strong local economic development, and a population that values convenience, service, and innovation. As Scottsdale’s Office of Economic Development highlights, the city is one of the fastest-growing, most business-friendly areas in the country—especially for service-based brands.
This new location joins our growing list of corporate-owned hubs across the U.S., including Long Island, NY, West Palm Beach and Port St. Lucie, FL, Charlotte and Apex, NC, and Dallas, TX. Our arrival in the Southwest isn’t just a geographic expansion: it’s a strategic milestone designed to support future franchise growth.
Inside Our Corporate-Owned Grooming Locations
Scottsdale is one of our corporate-owned locations, meaning it’s managed directly by the DapperTails leadership team. These sites allow us to do a few powerful things:
- Showcase the DapperTails brand in new, high-potential markets
- Strengthen our regional systems and franchisee support
- Operate profitable units that may later be available for resale to franchise owners
In short, corporate growth fuels franchise readiness. These locations act as operational proving grounds—businesses built to scale and transfer, not just to perform.
Meet Heather: The Groomer Behind Our Arizona Market
At the heart of every successful DapperTails location is a skilled, passionate professional. In Scottsdale, that’s Heather Finegan, our lead groomer and regional manager.
With over 22 years of grooming experience, Heather brings expertise, empathy, and calm confidence to her role. She’s groomed everything from Chihuahuas to Great Danes and is known in the community for her personal touch and high grooming standards.
After discovering the flexibility and joy of mobile grooming last year, she’s now leading the charge in Arizona—serving clients, mentoring new groomers, and setting the tone for our Southwestern growth.
“Heather is the kind of groomer who defines what DapperTails is all about,” says Emily Elias, our COO and Co-Founder. “She’s trusted, talented, and deeply connected to her community.”
What This Expansion Means for Future Franchise Owners
If you’ve been following DapperTails and wondering if this might be your moment, this Scottsdale launch is your invitation to take a closer look.
Our mobile pet grooming location in Scottsdale is part of a bigger growth strategy. Corporate-owned units like this are designed to thrive, and many are made available for future franchisees to purchase. That means you’re not starting from scratch. You’re stepping into a fully operating business with trained staff, a loyal client base, and support from day one.
Whether you’re a groomer looking for more freedom or an entrepreneur seeking a rewarding, service-driven business, this model is built to support your success. And with pet care spending projected to top $140 billion in the coming years (APPA Industry Stats), now is the time to align with a brand that’s ready to meet the demand.
